Astounding Summer Wine

When your uncle is Chuck Wagner (Caymus), you are expected to make wine – period. Derek and his brother Kurt Beitler did just that. They each created their own wineries and are making the wine at the Caymus facility. Both have day jobs managing the Caymus (and other) vineyards.  Bodega Rancho produces two Syrahs and one Viognier.

This wine was fermented in cement tanks and stainless steel to preserve its clean fresh character and exotic aromas of peach, lily, citrus and ripe pear. The wine offers up flavors of white peach, citrus all packed in a medium body. The crisp acidity and bright finish lend well to pairing with a diversity of foods, from light pastas and seafood to spicy cuisine. Drink this dry white wine young and well chilled. Alcohol 13.6%
