In contrast to 2011’s tough growing season, 2012 season was picture perfect right up to harvest. Continuing a tradition started in 2006, this wine was fermented in stainless steel to preserve its verve and then aged for 4 months in 50% stainless steel and 50% mostly neutral oak. The unique Italian clone grown in Rosemary’s Block delivers its unique pineapple and passion fruit flavor profile with a nose that can be detected from several feet away. Bottled unfiltered and unfined, this wine may develop a slight haze in the bottle. Ignore it and enjoy the wine.
