Londer VineyardsLarry and Shirlee Londer grew up in Denver (CO), and after his residency moved to Albuquerque where he practiced Ophthalmology for 27 years, while Shirlee ran the optical stores.   Since both were wine lovers, they always talked about one day owning a vineyard, they set out in 1997 to the Anderson Valley were they purchased a vineyard where he could grow the varietals he loved the most, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir.  One will not need their glasses to figure out that is wine is the real McCoy.

Winemaker Greg La Follette (formerly Flowers, Tandem and of course his own label La Follette) has been crafting these great wines for years now.  The Ferrington vineyard gained fame via Williams Selyem wines.  The 09 Ferrington bottling showcases an amazing bouquet of bright red stone fruit, hints of minerality and a touch of spice.  On the palate, this full-bodied wine is loaded with black and red berries, touches of spice, and a whiff of minerality.  This wine shows great depth and balance, long and complex finish  with amazing flavors of bright red cherries lingering for a good 20 seconds. 196 cases produced.
