This wine, sourced from a Cabernet vineyard next door to Screaming Eagle shows of amazing aromas of bright black stone fruit with a hint of anise, chocolate and espresso beans that jump out of the glass on impact. On the palate this wine is loaded with black currant, chocolate, a hint of pencil shavings. The wine is powerful, lush & full bodied offering up a tremendous aging potential as it shows a good dose of silky grained tannins on the long complex finish. If you want to enjoy this wine young, I suggest double decanting it a good 2-3 hours in advance to serving. This youngster will only improve with time in the cellar. If you give it a good 2 years you’ll be happily surprised., it should drink well for 10+ years!
