Over 20 years later, destiny has taken him back to the same ranch, but this time as the owner of the grapes.  In 2005, Cruz Calderon started construction of the prestigious wine cave at Caldwell Vineyard in the Coombsville District of Napa where Jesus resides as the Vineyard Manager. It is here that they forged their friendship and it is here, within the cave that Cruz constructed, and using the fruit from the vines Jesus planted, that Scalon Cellars has been born, and the rest… is history.

The 2014 Priority Red Blend is the third release from this estate. Each vintage seems to top the previous one. Entry is soft and silky with a rich, plush mouthfeel with great structure & acidity. The finish lingers on with smooth and noticeably ripe tannins. Generous in the mouth. The nose is classic Cabernet Sauvignon. Very dense, powerful, and rich. Drinking nicely now and should continue to develop and show well for another 8-12 years.
