The Value Cabernet blend of the Month!

Field Recordings is winemaker Andrew Jones’ personal catalog of the people and places he values most. Having stood in just about every vineyard on the Central Coast, he has a keen eye for diamonds in the rough: sites that are unknown or under-appreciated but hold enormous untapped potential. As friendships are made and opportunities are embraced, Andrew produces small quantities of soulful wine from these unusual, quiet vineyards.

Field Recordings 2011 “Chorus Effect” is a Paso Robles proprietary red blend. In a quest to create a unique wine, Andrew discovered the synergy of marrying various great sources. Grapes are sourced from some of Paso’s most prestigious vineyards This wine is loaded from start-to-finish with lush, bright fruit. The aromas jump out of the glass – I encountered bright black berry and black currant with a touch of spiciness. On the mid-palate, this lush wine explodes with more of the powerful black stone fruit. The wine has a nice silkiness to it, and a very long last finish. You can keep this puppy for a good 5-10 years! If you want to enjoy it now, decant a good 1-2 hours in advance!
