Leviathan is a family venture between Andy and his wife Annie Favia-Erikson and her family—- The 2009 is a blend of almost equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah —- Leviathan means “something unusually large or formidable. I can say that this latest release is just that! —- Perfumes of star anise, paprika, and thyme draw into the glass. Flavors of cherries and blackberry jam rush over the palate, with smooth,silky tannins and intense fruit lingering on a lengthy finish.
