A wine to take the road – NO need to pay for expensive  gas…

Herman Story is the “story” of tall tales, Wrangler Jeans, and bold wines crafted by Russell P. From. This winery has become a real head-turner since it was created just a decade ago. Russell is a real “Rhone Ranger” and that has not escaped the notice of numerous publications. Herman Story regularly scores 94 – 97 points from Robert Parker, Vinous, Jeb Dunnuck and Wine Spectator, and has an amazing “cult-like” following with thousands of people trying to get on his mailing list. The 2019 vintage Spring release is spectacular, but very limited!

RUSSELL FROM (OWNER/WINEMAKER) TASTING NOTES: “You know that old oil tycoon, the one who lives on the ranch outside town? He claims he hid a cool million somewhere in the rocky hillsides for anyone determined enough to find it. So you can join the sunhat-clad throngs under the vanilla sun, in the white pepper and star anise wind, scrambling up and down the slopes. Or you can just join him to watch from his porch, sipping coffee with a splash of kirsch liqueur and nibbling strawberry scones, laughing about the fact that he’s been broke for years.”

WINERY NOTES: ” It takes 3 hours to drive from Chelle Mountain to Santa Barbara and back, a drive Russell From knows very well. On the Road derives its name from the immense distance between his best Grenache vineyards and the 10,000 miles his truck endures during harvest.”
