A CALIFORNIA EXCLUSIVE! Our Best “Vintage” Champagne to date

The Cazals Champagne house is located in the heart of Côte du Blancs, in Mesnil sur Oger. Founded in 1897, it is today directed by Delphine Cazals, the great granddaughter of the founder Claude Cazals. Clos Cazals may be one of Champagne’s best-kept secrets. It sits tucked away in the Mesnil-sur-Oger, a Grand Cru village that is located in the Côte des Blancs just south of Epernay. The Blanc de Blancs produced in this small village are amongst the world’s top echelon champagnes. This beautiful and extremely limited grower champagne is only available in Calfornia!

This “old vine” Champagne is a 100% hand-harvested Chardonnay from 50 year old vines planted on chalky soil in Oger, the Clos (there are only 21 of them in Champagne) was bought by the Cazals family in the 1940’s, from famous politician and Nobel Peace Prize winner Léon Bourgeois.  On the nose you’ll encounter intensity and complex aromatics for bread, hazelnut and apricot.  On the large palate you are greeted by a velvety texture that is warm with a mineral afterglow.
