This 1 acre vineyard located next to Grace Family in St. Helena has been putting out some amazing wine over the past couple of years. All courtesy of 100 Point winemaker Peter Heitz who turned this little piece of dirt in a pile of gold flakes! The winery is owned by two couples, neighbors, the Martin and Croshaw families, thus MC4! The 2014 vintage marks the sixth release from this great venture and I am proud to serve it up!

The 2014 weather was nearly perfect for Cabernet, and this year’s release is one of the best MC4 releases to date. It reminds me of a combination of the 2012 and 2013 vintage.
It has a gorgeous dark purple hue and exquisite aromas of black currant, chocolate, licorice and a touch of dust. The wine is full in body, loaded with bright black stone fruit, chocolate, anise and a whiff of subtle brown spice notes. This youngster shows it potential immediately. Only 126 cases of this youngster were produced. The wine’s mid-palate is very elegant, almost silky. The flavors keep on coming and lead into a long, yet unctuous tannin finish lasting a good 30 seconds. Only 10 cases of this wine were allocated to me, so hurry to get some of this great well-priced Napa Valley Cabernet!
Winemaker notes: “The sixth release from the hand tended MC4 Estate. Dark fruit, red pomegranate and subtle brown spice notes are darkened by roasted sage and ripe plum aromatics. A focused entry widens, revealing dark berries, cassis and dark chocolate, accompanied by red lift and dimpled texturing”
