“Under the Radar” Pinot Noir

Patrick Krutz was the “lone ranger for about four years – CEO, Winemaker, Broom Pusher, Barrel Cleaner, etc. before he received some much needed help from his siblings.   Initially it was just Krutz Cellars, but since the family additions, the word “Family” was added.  They source from some of the most amazing vineyards in Northern California, and it shows in their final products, that “sourcing” and good winemaking make for a cohesive good quality final product.

On the nose you’ll encounter a touch of earthy and spiciness an inviting aromas of raspberry puree, green tea and plum. The entry offers an intriguing hint of red stone fruit, a touch of toasty vanilla and peppercorns that carry though to a mid-palate filled with silky tannins and cherry and raspberry flavors. On the finish overtones of coffee and baking spice mingle with leather and fruit bringing this wine to a long, satisfying conclusion. 250 cases produced.
