I don’t want to be partial to my own label, but I am proud! Milange is named after my daughters (MILayna and ANGElina). It has been in the works for some years now, and now it is finally here! Our inaugural release of 100 cases was poured at our New York wine event last week to great success! 25 cases of the first 100 flew out the door in just 3 hours! At this rate I will be sold out by next week (I hope). I could not have done it without the help from my great friend Perry, and of course my wife and two daughters!
Milange 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from two of Napa Valley’s most famous vineyard sites. These vineyards must stay nameless in print – If you ask nicely I may tell you what they are when I talk to you in person, but I can tell you that they are two of the most sought after sites in the Napa Valley.
This inaugural vintage is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that was aged in high-end Chateau barrels for 30 months (65% new 35% 1 year old). A classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the best vintages of this 21st century that will impress you! I am proud and impressed myself. The aroma are gorgeous right out of the glass. Full in body, layered with ripe black stone fruit, spices and a touch of anise and chocolate on the mid-palate. Well-balanced with the right amount of acidity, and finesse leading into a long silky finish. Only 100 cases were produced.
