Value Cabernet blend stuns many!

Field Recordings is 29-year old winemaker Andrew Jones’ personal catalog of the people and places he values most. Having stood in just about every vineyard on the Central Coast, he has a keen eye for diamonds in the rough: sites that are unknown or under-appreciated but hold enormous untapped potential. As friendships are made and opportunities are embraced, Andrew produces small quantities of soulful wine from these unusual, quiet vineyards.

This blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Petit Verdot and 16% Malbec from the Happy Canyon region in Santa Barbara will knock your socks off. Only 150 cases of this little gem were produced.

The wine’s aroma is layered with notes of red currant, a whiff of chocolate and violets. On the palate this medium to full bodied red blend offers a plush mouthfeel  with black cherries, violets, kirsch and crème de cassis joinging notes of tobacco and cola. This is truly a California Bordeaux blend.
