Paul Hobbs does not need to be introduced. His skills are amazing and his wines are spectacular. The new Walker Station Chardonnay (147 cases) is just another example of Paul’s exemplary skill level and attention to detail.
Paul is the master of many varietals, and this latest release of the 2009 Walker Station “Ritchie” Chardonnay is a great example. The wine is amazing. Paul has gotten big scores with the Walker Station wines before. The last release being the highest with 96 points from Robert Parker. I would say that this not only rivals the previous release, it beats it in all categories!
Created from one of America`s most famous vineyards, the 2009 “Ritchie” Chardonnay expresses tropical fruit with layers of peach and spice. Astonishing minerality combined with a wonderful acidity has produced a wine worthy of any occasion.
